Szelit Cheung is a Hong Kong–based artist whose cross-disciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and installation. His most recent works resemble the essence of void through which he explores the connection between presence and emptiness by utilising simple forms, light and colours as a means to echo and amplify intangible yet powerful sentiments and expressions.

His works have been exhibited in the US, UK, Japan, France, United Arab Emirates, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Selected solo exhibitions include Dark (2023) and Space (2021), Rossi & Rossi, Hong Kong; whilst selected group exhibitions include Door to Door (2023) co-presented by THE SHOPHOUSE and Schoeni Projects, Hong Kong and London; Space and Memory (2021), Whitestone Gallery, Hong Kong; Sushi - A World in a Grain of Sand, Tokyo Gallery + BTAP, Tokyo, Japan; Architectural Representation in Chinese Contemporary Art (2019), One Thousand Museum, Miami.
